We collaborated with the 8th graders to build our model suspension bridge using cross stitching. They started us off with the basics. During the process, we learned what parts of a bridge are important to make it stable and sturdy, how to design a particular type of bridge- suspension bridge, what math tools to use for measurement and estimation and, of course, why TEAMWORK is so important! Thanks to the 8th graders, the 3rd graders were able to work on the bridge project independently after only 3 sessions.
