The Greyhounds participates in a variety of dynamic training sessions including, hill training, running stairs, and standard track and field drills. Some of my third graders (Tyruse Boock, Tiara Arroyo, and Amin Snead) are part of this inspiring track team. They are lead by Ron Guialdo, a dedicated parent and his loyal assistant coach, Mr. Barna, who is our very own physical education teacher at Chelsea Prep. They just finished their cross country season ending with their first ever trip to Orlando Florida for National Championships. WOW! Congratulations to the Greyhounds. The indoor season commences in January. A variety of track meets have already been scheduled; trips to Maryland, Boston, and Suffolk County, Long Island. The training has taken a shift from cross country to short track speed. The coaches and the Greyhound track team became members of both the Amateur Athletic Union(A.A.U) and the United States of America Track and Field (U.S.A.T.F.) We look forward to seeing this team mature and grow to their fullest potential in every aspect.
